You are the light, of freedom burning brightly
You are the hope, to a world of peace you invite me
For a troubled soul, for a cry of pain
For a lonely heart. You call my name.
Here I, Here I am
I fall down before you
Here I, Here I am
I want to live for you
Here I, Here I am
You carry me, in each step I have taken
You give me strength; your help will not be shaken
I look in your eyes, You bring me close
I go where you send, with a heart of my own
Here I, Here I am
Take me and fill me
Here I, Here I am
Know that I follow
Here I, Here I am
Take away my blindness and let me see
Tear down these prison walls and set me free
Heal this broken life and pull me through
Heal these crippled legs and I’ll run to you, I’ll run to You
You know who I am, the pathway that my life goes in
Since I was child, it has been the way you have chosen
Use me now, I give up my pride
With all my faith, to You I cry
Here I, Here I am
I trust you forever
Here I, Here I am
Your are with me ever
Here I, Here I am
About the Song
This is a song about letting go. Al wrote it while trying to make some decisions about a change of job. It was originally an acoustic piece, a quiet plea for help and intercession -- then Norm got hold of it.
